Downtown Bozeman's Main Street just got fancier. Tutti Bene, which opened in early September 2025 by Mary and Tim Barnard, is the real deal. The Italian restaurant features food by Executive Chef Cesare Lanfranconi, a Lake Como native whose passion for food started in his grandmother's kitchen and was honed in Europe's best restaurants.
Expect daily house-made pastas that melt in your mouth, local-sourced meats that capture rustic Italian charm, and desserts you won't want to skip. The seasonal menu changes with the chef's imagination, the wine list is thoughtfully curated, and the cocktails know how to have fun. Refined without being stuffy. Perfect for a special night out or whenever you want to understand what high-level Italian cooking looks like in Montana.

Dry Fly Saloon, which opened in June 2025, is located inside the Field & Stream Lodge in North Bozeman. The restaurant combines breakfast and dinner with all-day dining, complete with fly fishing-themed decor, vintage Field & Stream magazine covers lining the ceiling, and a fun cabin atmosphere. If you're looking for a comfy, cozy spot serving home-cooked meals, this is the place to go!
You can grab breakfast before heading up the mountain (or snag a packable to-go meal from the Adventure Menu), order a family-friendly dinner, or settle in for a cold beer and a huckleberry burger after a day on the water. With gaming machines and free billiards in The Honey Hole, the hotel's bar right next to the restaurant, this makes a great date night.
Location: 25 E Mendenhall St

Housed on the first floor of the Element Bozeman Hotel in Bozeman's downtown area (which was once the restaurant Squire House), Carlisle is a steakhouse serving upscale food and craft cocktails. The restaurant opened in February 2025, with Executive Chef Daniel Liedle at the helm. Think steak (lots of steak), oysters, mussels, house made pasta, and appetizers like elk tartare and potato latkes with trout.
The name pays homage to Carlisle Kenyon, a community figure whose legacy helped shape Bozeman's business landscape.

Tres Toros Tacos & Tequila, which opened in February 2026 and took over the old Shred Monk space, brought its Big Sky success to Downtown Bozeman. Owned by Executive Chef Brandon Blanchard and well-known Big Sky restaurateurs, Twist and Jaime Thompson, this restaurant is known for its made-from-scratch Mexican-inspired food with a modern flair and commitment to culinary excellence.
Beyond standard tacos and Mexican fare, this restaurant gets creative with cricket tacos and a unique rendition of poutine fries, topped with steak and queso blanco instead of the usual cheese curds and gravy. The Tulum-inspired decor and huckleberry margaritas make it feel like you've stepped into a resort without leaving town.

Nissa, which is located next to the Umvelt Russian bathhouse, opened in early 2026 and offers a more intimate approach to Mediterranean dining with French roots in Bozeman's downtown area. This space was created with intention — to encourage customers to disconnect from modern life, slow down, and enjoy connecting together.
Nissa is owned by Bader L., who hails from France and also owns Food For Thought, a popular catering business in town. The small but mighty menu changes seasonally, and everything is made from scratch, with a focus on fresh ingredients and healthy dishes for meat lovers and vegans alike. The herb-forward mocktails and curated drinks are worth a try too!

Khanom Thai, which opened in June 2025 and is located off of Huffine Lane between Bozeman and Four Corners, delivers authentic Thai cuisine at reasonable prices in a refined space. The owner is from Thailand, and ensures the extensive menu features all the Thai favorites, like spring rolls, papaya salad, pad thai, curries galore, and mango sticky rice. The southern-style stir fries (among other dishes) even use the family's grandma’s homemade curry paste, adding to the home cooked taste.
The team is opening a second location on 9th Avenue soon, which tells you something about the demand!

You'll find Stockman's Bar right smack in the middle of all the action on Main Street in a portion of Schnees (yes, Schnees is still in business, but in a smaller space — Stockman's took over one side of it). Owned by Brett Evje — who owns many other successful restaurants in Bozeman, like PLONK Wine and J.W. Heist Steakhouse — the establishment opened in October 2025 and leans into Bozeman's Old West heritage with classic western decor, pool tables, and American food. Think sweet corn hush puppies, brisket nachos, chicken fried steak, and, of course, a burger.
Though the menu might lean more casual, the vibe is a little more upscale — it's the spot for date night or bachelorette parties. It gets especially busy on weekends, earning its reputation as a solid option for a night out on the town.

Amelia's Authentic Italian Eatery is a casual dining option near Montana State University which opened in the spring of 2025. Owned by Randy and Vicki DiLorenzo, the restaurant pays homage to Vicki's mother, Amelia, and her delicious home cooking, welcoming people to relax and enjoy traditional Italian food.
Expect the usual suspects, like bruschetta, chicken parmesan, lobster ravioli, and fettuccine alfredo, alongside other comfort classics like wings, calamari fritti (fried squid), and shrimp cocktails.

For something more casual, head to Plaza Azteca in the Cannery District (you'll find it inside the old La Esquina location), which opened in June 2025. The establishment is a chain, with locations all over the country, but still delivers the authentic Mexican flavors it promises.
Alongside delicious Mexican food, Plaza Azteca boasts an extensive margarita menu. Don't leave without ordering one — the flavor combinations are so creative!
This is the kind of spot where you can relax without worrying about the bill, complete with a lively atmosphere and bright decor.

Preshift Cafe & Pizzeria (formerly known as Tarantino's), opened in May 2026 on Main Street. Fortunately, the owners not only kept the pizza tradition alive, but they also expanded the menu significantly: smashburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, breakfast burritos, and more. The restaurant operates under the premise that food can be simple AND delicious, with all items made fresh.
The cafe also includes a full espresso bar, making it a great spot to go for coffee in Bozeman. Come to PreShift any time of day, whether you're on your morning coffee run or craving late night pizza.

Frugals brings its Pacific Northwest reputation to Downtown Bozeman, serving never-frozen beef burgers (vegetarians, not to worry — there's a veggie patty too) and thick milkshakes that feel like a throwback to simpler times. This award-winning small franchise opened a Bozeman location in July 2025, and has earned its reputation as a great place for a quick, casual, and affordable lunch or dinner in town.
Location: 1450 Twin Lakes Ave
Hours: Mon-Sun, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 a.m.
The famous chain opened a branch in Western Bozeman's Valley West neighborhood in April 2026, and it's one of the more affordable new restaurants in Bozeman. No surprises, just crispy wings, fries, and all the comfort food Wingstop is known for.
Baadshah Cuisine of India is coming soon, bringing fresh, high-quality ingredients and authentic, rich flavors to the Bozeman dining scene. This Utah-based group is opening its first Montana location, and the exact date and location are still TBD. Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement.
Saffron Indian Cuisine is opening in Nova Cafe's old spot on Main Street. With another Indian restaurant coming to town, Bozeman is clearly ready for more spiced cuisine. Opening date is still TBD, but this one's on our radar.
Proud Rooster BBQ is coming to Jackrabbit Lane in the Four Corners area. This grab-and-go BBQ spot will focus on high-quality smoked brisket, custom sausages, and brisket breakfast tacos. For those mornings when you want smoke and meat before sunrise, this will be your spot.
Provecho, beloved by locals in food truck form, is opening a permanent spot in the former Tarantino's pizza space downtown. Rustic, Mexican-inspired dishes made with local, handmade ingredients are heading from wheels to a real address. This is a homecoming for a food truck that earned its fans the hard way.
Khanom is opening another location on 9th Avenue soon. The demand for authentic Thai food in Bozeman clearly extends beyond one location, and this expansion shows the restaurant understands the opportunity.
From fine dining to fast-casual, from Indian to Italian, the new restaurants Bozeman has welcomed prove one thing: if you thought you'd exhausted your dining options here, it's time to reconsider.
